Fortune-telling “Novel-Tea” for the mystically inclined
Odd Zero created this package design study for a product inspired by the tradition of reading fortunes with tea leaves left in the bottom of tea cups. Named after the 16th century clairvoyant, this set of teas can illuminate three aspects of life–love, health, and career.
Before he was known as an oracle, Nostradamus was an herbalist and apothecary. The cork case and glass jars are meant to evoke the look of the herb containers he would have had in his establishment. Gold foil, gothic type and the handmade all-seeing eye wax seal provide some nostalgic flair.
Directions for fortune-readings and interpretations of tea leaf formtions are shown on the card fastened to the underside of the cork case.
