Dusted Magazine
Print publication for the WebZine
Dusted is quarterly concept magazine for the WebZine by the same name. The company reviews lesser-known independent and fringe musical artists. As a branding study, Odd Zero redesigned the Dusted branding to a layered, grunge-y and textural look.
This issue features Judee Sill, a folk singer from 1970s LA. Her life was turbulent, fraught with drugs and crime, yet she always maintained her Christian faith. The content in her lyrics contain Christian themes if they aren’t outright considered devotional songs. The dichotomy of her debaucherous lifestyle and the purity of her faith informs the juxtaposition of the gritty vs. clean design.
